Electricvehicles (EVs) are often hailed as a cleaner alternative to traditional petrol and diesel cars, playing a central role in global efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. However, a growing body of research is drawing attention to a lesser-known issue: the release of harmful plastics and particulate matter from EV tyres and brakes, which is contributing to rising air pollution . Mizoram, one of India’s mountainous seven sister states, is now declared as a proud first fully literate stateof India . This milestone was achieved through the ULLAS – Nav Bharat Saaksharta Karyakram , a key part of the central New India Literacy Programme .
